Beyond the Boundaries: Santa Maria-Infanta Road Trip

Experience the thrill of going beyond our hometown's boundary! Traveling the winding road in the uplands is very rewarding. The scenic views, flora and fauna and the quiet surrounding can be enjoyed without a price (except for the gas!)

Commuting on a motorcycle from the town proper to Brgy. Magsaysay, Infanta, Quezon takes 1 1/2 hour. Better fill your tanks with much gasoline for a hassle-free ride.

There were road experiences which seemed to make the trip difficult...

Brgy. Cueva, Santa Maria, Laguna
Long, rough road at Brgy. Cueva; a series of better-get-out-of-the-motor
cycle moments so that you can pass through the bumpy portions of the road.

Can anyone tell me where this road leads? We did not pass through it.

...but there were areas which offered a refreshing view:

Parang ng Buho, Santa Maria, Laguna
PARANG...nasa ibang bansa!
SAKSAKan ng ganda! Panoramic view at J. Santiago.

There were also animals along the way:

Kabayong 'di nagsusuklay at Brgy. J. Santiago.

Duck at Macasipac.

Following the J. Santiago road will lead you to Brgy. Magsaysay, Infanta Quezon. There is indeed a change of climate as you get past the boundary. DOST has provided a daily Temperature Monitor of this place.  There are families who grew up in Santa Maria who reside here.

It's one of the settlements of Marquez family. They
bought some huge portions of lot in Sitio Kamagong. Restobars, gardens and
other business stuffs were also established here
(coconut buho nursery, furniture-making).

Stores and gasoline stations can be hardly found in this area. But there is a restaurant which offers a mini-hotel service. It has a garden decorated with 'bayuko', wooden furniture and the classsic 'tuod'. It also has a stairway which leads down to a falls.

Others say that you may approach the Agos River and the Pacific Ocean an hour from Brgy. Magsaysay. Thanks to MARILAQUE, the scenic highway connecting Manila, Rizal, Infanta and Laguna.  Our Municipal Website offers the road's facts you might want to know. You may also visit these links for additional information: PadyaKayumanggi, Unang Sabak: Marikina-Infanta RoadMarikina Infanta Motorcycle Road Trip (Marcos Highway; Marikina City to Infanta Quezon).

What an adventure! It's the last thing I can say :)
