VISITORS FROM THE LAND OF THE RISING SUN
These Japanese have their ancestors who were buried in the Catholic Church vicinity and in Bagumbayan. I tried conversing with them...and my nihongo didn't work well. But honorifics did. I learned that whenever you talk to a Japanese, you may use the -san (さん) suffix. It's like calling him, 'Sir Bob' (english), or 'Ka Tasyo' (in tagalog). Bowing a little is an expected social behavior too.
