GMA 7 VISITS SANTA MARIA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

Jiggy Manicad, along with GMA News TV Quick Response crew, visited Santa Maria National High School on June 4 afternoon to monitor its current state during the school year opening. They interviewed Mayor Antonio Carolino and Sir Cesar Aguja to gather the details regarding the establishment's infrastructure and other essential concerns.

GMA Vehicles and the rest of the communication equipment are set up outside the school's main gate.

Destroyed armchairs crowd the school's grounds.

If not for the driver who asked me where the school was, I would not know that GMA Newsteam was visiting.

Mang Larry, one of the residents of Santa Maria Laguna, wonders whether something unusual and special
was happening inside the school.

The crew set up the shooting equipment on this side of the building (Gate 2) but transferred it near the canteen for a better view.

Busy setting things up at approx 3:00 PM in the afternoon.

Mayor Antonio Carolino recently arrived for the interview.

Reviewing the script???

Mayor Carolino having a conversation with Mr. Cesar Aguja (High School teacher/Infrastructure Officer) and Mr. Reggie Hernandez (Office of the Mayor Personnel)

Students and teachers alike are amused with the footage.

And it all began in 3,2,1.

Mr. Cesar Aguja is currently involved with the building transactions. The dilapidated structures were the teachers' main concerns.

According the report, the ceilings pose a main danger to the students.

The old buildings were demolished so that new buildings may be built. Mr. Aguja was summoning any kindhearted and willing person  to give financial support to the school.

Mayor Antonio Carolino is giving updates regarding the progress on building requests.

Mayor Tony is requesting the National Gov't.,  Deped and other private sectors to extend help not just to SMNHS but to the elementary schools. I like his feedback, which was same with Jiggy's, about the students. They remarked that we have plenty of them who do well in their studies, so it's important that they are being provided with rooms conducive for learning.

Meanwhile, the students are watching the live broadcast inside the canteen. Canteeners were wondering why they preferred watching it on TV than in actuality.

Mayor Carolino, Sir Aguja and Mr. Hernandez were standing in front of the ruined buildings. These structures  have been existing for 40 years.

Santa Maria National High School have witnessed major happenings throughout the decades. Elderlies use to reiterate that Japanese soldiers are buried here. This establishment also survived a major fire incident in the 90's.

Ok, next generation naman. Dapat kami rin meron. Hehe :)
Thanking God for allowing the Quick Response Team to visit one of our major educational institutions thus giving its officials a platform and privilege to air their concerns for the betterment of the students.
