MARILAG FESTIVAL DAY TWO HIGHLIGHTS: Giant Sinukmani, Social Media Status Updates and Street Dance Parade

Mr. Ariel Ureta of Umagang Kay Ganda tasted Santa Maria Laguna's huge sinukmani during the 3rd Marilag Festival celebration this 2nd day of April, 2014. Street dance presentations added color and zest to the early-morning event. 

This 500 sq. ft. gigantic 'kakanin' could feed 10,000 people.

What a colorful morning for the people of Santa Maria. UKG aired the program at 5:00 am.

Each barangay contributed their prepared sinukmani which covered the town plaza stage area. Parade and awarding of the winners of the cooking contest then followed. One of the winning dishes became my viand (ulam) this day's lunch. Yumyum! =)
